Ever since Norma first picked up her first sewing needle at the age of 4, she has been sewing and designing her own hand-crafted creations. Norma's creativity has been inspired by many influences throughout her life. From her mother and children to her dear friend Arlene, Norma J has been creating her unique custom creations since 1975.
Initially Norma inspired to become a fashion designer. Norma began designing evening-wear, and used her sister as her own guinea pig to wear her clothing designs!
When Norma started her own family, she began to design and make toddler wear for daughters. Even now that they are older, she still sews for them, designing all of their costumes for the largest comic book and popular arts convention in the world, Comic-con.
Norma started making pillow blankets as gifts for family and friends and was told she had a "great knack for her craft." She wanted to make more than just a pillow blanket so she improved it and made it into her own creating the blankee-tag-along. |
